Initial Viewing

Back on the 3rd August 2021 the village had the opportunity to see inside the train station for the first time in almost 30 years.

The group comprised of Therese from Sustrans, Matt from Southeastern railway, and then a selection of interested villagers, to include the W.I and the parish council.

The building has no current lighting so it was phone torches at the ready for the viewing and a few cobwebs were walked into.

The building needs a lot of work, the floors and ceilings especially and the utilities are all disconnected. There is so much potential in the building though, it comprises of a large main hall, smaller platform side kitchen space, a small side room and a toilet room.
